Ford Mustang Mach-E model update: More technology, higher price

Ford revises its successful Mus.tang Mach-E

Visually, little has changed, but technically, many customers will be pleased. This is less true for the new prices. The refreshed Ford Mustang Mach-E is available unchanged in the different engine and battery variants.

Ford is particularly proud of the current market situation in the USA. Here, with the recent growth of 74.1 per cent, the Mustang has meanwhile climbed to second place in the electric crossover sales list behind the Tesla Model Y. This is expected to continue in Europe and especially in Europe. This is also expected to develop upwards in Europe and especially in Germany, so a technical model update should further stretch the portfolio and attract potential customers who have so far looked to the competition.

The base model offers rear-wheel drive with 198 kW / 269 hp and the 75-kWh standard battery. Above this is the premium version, which offers a choice of 198 kW, 216 kW or, in the full version, 258 kW / 351 hp and is available with both battery packages. Above this is the Mach-E GT, which offers sporty top performance with a 358 kW / 487 hp all-wheel drive and an extended-range battery as standard. The maximum range with the large battery pack increased to almost 600 kilometres to the next charging stop, depending on the model.

Those premium features such as Matrix LED headlights, 19-inch wheels or ambient lighting, previously available as standard exclusively for the all-wheel drive variants, are now also included for the rear-wheel drive Mustang Mach-E and the larger battery pack. The popular premium package is upgraded, as is the feel of the interior, with production starting with the 2023 model in late October.

Details such as the power tailgate, 360-degree camera and folding mirrors will be standard. The base price for the Ford Mustang Mach-E is 62,900 euros, while the Premium or GT models start at 69,200 and 86,200 euros respectively. Once it started at under 50,000 euros and the top model costs 10,000 euros less.
