Ford Bronco (2022)-Review and Price
The new Ford Bronco was presented in 2021 and we will see it in a showroom in 2023 as a plug-in hybrid.
During our first test drive, we check the off-road capabilities of the vehicle.
Since 2021, Ford has again been selling a Bronco in America, as it did once before in the 1960s. The prices start at around $30,000 (as of February 2022). Just like the Wrangler and Defender, the Ford Bronco is available as a three- or five-door model.
The power comes from the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder (270 bhp), which we know from the Mustang, or a V6 with 2.7 liters(310 bhp). Even the V6, in combination with the ten-speed automatic, prefers a leisurely trot and can only be driven with difficulty to over 160 km/h on asphalt.
While the new Ford Bronco (2021) is no match for anyone else during our first off-road test drive, the car sometimes seems a bit bucky on the road. This is reminiscent of the wild horse that gives it its name: After 300 miles on California's frost-brittle back roads, anyway, you feel like John Wayne after a ride across the great plains.
At home in the U.S., the new Ford Bronco (2021) will probably be launched as a plug-in hybrid version - starting in 2023.
