BMW Power BEV 2024 : Specifications, price, release date 2021-01-14
Does the 720-hp electric car anticipate the BMW i5 M (2025)?
One electric motor sits on the front axle, two more on the rear axle - designed as a dual-drive unit. The system output is 530 kW (720 hp), and the torque is specified at 1150 Newton meters. That's enough to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds.
Six more years of development time and the further developed CLAR (Cluster Architecture) platform announced for 2025 could turn the technology showpiece Power BEV into an even more potent BMW i5 M.
The performance models i4 M50 and iX M60 prove that M GmbH is increasingly focusing on the electric theme. What is still missing in 2022 is the first "real" M model with a battery-electric powertrain.
