All-new 2022 Mercedes-AMG GT: Price and Release date
Mercedes-Benz is preparing to renew the AMG GT sports car.
Developed for the 2023 model year, the Mercedes AMG GT will use SL underpinnings and be equipped with a hybrid V8 unit.
The new Mercedes AMG GT is performing its winter tests in Sweden. At the front end, a low nose, a long hood, and new headlights await us. It also has a grille that looks smaller than its predecessor. Although it is difficult to distinguish the design under the camouflage, we can see the vents under the headlights.
At the rear, the quad tailpipes are integrated into the bumper. The taillights are thin and have LED elements.
The new Mercedes AMG GT is developed on the MSA platform. This platform was also used in the new SL Convertible. Thus, we can say that the engine of the AMG GT will be the same as the SL convertible. The new Mercedes AMG GT will be offered with a 4.0-liter V8 engine.
Engine power will likely be offered with 350 kW or 430 kW.
Inside, the new AMG GT will feature a refreshed cabin that uses Mercedes' latest MBUX infotainment system. This will consist of a large vertically oriented display on the dashboard and a digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. It will also be equipped with a "Hey Mercedes" voice assistant and a high-definition camera system.
The new AMG GT is expected to arrive towards the end of this year.
