Mercedes-Benz closes 2022 with a strong final quarter. Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, revealed: "2022 marks another successful year in the transformation of Mercedes-Benz: we more than doubled our BEV sales, underlined our high electric ambitions with the 1,200 km EQXX test drive and achieved a new record year for Mercedes-Maybach with a 37% increase in sales. In 2023, we will continue our mission to offer the most desirable electric cars and further expand our BEV and top-end sales."

In the upper luxury class, Mercedes was able to look at 19,200 Mercedes EQS sales alone. It is strongly driven by demand from the US. In addition, the all-electric flagship recorded its best sales quarter ever in Q4. In addition, the EQS SUV has also already been well received in the US and will be launched in China in early 2023. With the presentation of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV in the first half of 2023, Mercedes-Maybach will also go electric. This model is also expected to increase sales.

With the EQE, Mercedes-Benz has been able to record sales of 12,600 units in the Core Luxury. The corresponding EQE SUV variant can also be ordered throughout Europe. The Chinese and US markets will follow in the first half of 2023. The EQA is the best-selling all-electric model with 33,100 units (+43%), followed by the EQB with 24,200 units of the Mercedes EQ brand. The A- and B-Class received a model update in the last quarter of 2022 and are available immediately. The pure electric share doubled in this segment to 10% of sales.
