2023 Mercedes E-Class: Specifications, price, release date 2021-01-13

The next Mercedes E-Class will be launched in 2023.

We clarify the question of whether the luxury class will once again be available as an estate, coupe, and convertible. We also have initial information on the engines (hybrid, AMG) as well as the price. And this is what we expect in the interior!

The Mercedes E-Class will be relaunched in spring 2023. A year before the market launch, our photographer has spotted a prototype, i.e. a test vehicle under old familiar bodywork, as well as a prototype with production bodywork. 

The wheelbase does not appear to have changed much. The first prototype only reveals details of the design. While a larger grille and an interesting light signature at the rear attract attention, the classic proportions of the sedan are reminiscent of those of its predecessor. 

The Mercedes E-Class (2023) will continue in a new form as a sedan, as a T-model, and as an all-terrain based on it. 

There will be no fully electric version of the new E-Class, but there will be plug-in hybrids with an electric range of up to 62 miles. All drive systems will be converted to 48-volt electrical systems. They recover braking energy and can sail, i.e. roll in a fuel-saving manner with the combustion engine switched off depending on the situation. 

The recently introduced, 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged gasoline engines (367, 435 hp) and turbodiesels (330 hp) remain in the lineup.

There are further highlights in the redesigned interior of the Mercedes E-Class (2023). For example, the MBUX multimedia system offers even more personalization options.  While massage functions cost extra, in the future all  E-Class drivers will look at a significantly larger display that covers almost the entire surface of the dashboard.
