2022 BMW X5 M: Specifications, price, release date
The new BMW X5 M will receive a refreshed interior and exterior design compared to its predecessor.
At the front end, a slim headlight assembly, a more angular design, and a double kidney grille await us. In addition, the new grilles have thicker edges. There are also double fog lights under the headlight assembly.
The prototype in the images is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. There is also a new set of alloy wheels. At the rear, the quad exhaust pipe setup and rear bumper look similar to its predecessor. However, there may be minor changes in the diffuser. The rear headlight is the same as its predecessor.
Big changes await us in the cabin. The iDrive 8 infotainment system, which we know from the iX model, will also be in the 2022 BMW X5 M. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch touchscreen cover the entire console.
Key features of iDrive 8 include augmented reality navigation, 5G connectivity, and advanced voice control. There will also be new seat upholstery options.
The X5 M Competition is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 unit producing 459 kW and 750 Nm of torque. All-wheel drive is also available, thanks to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
