2022-2023 BMW iX1: Specifications, price, release date 2021-01-13
the all-electric BMW iX1 will be unveiled in 2022.
The all-electric X1 brother with the name BMW iX1 will be launched in 2022 - probably with two battery sizes and ranges of up to 400 kilometers. The price is still speculative but is likely to be in line with the competition.
More or less at the same time as the X1 successor, the all-electric BMW iX1 will also be unveiled in 2022. The "Electric Test Vehicle" sticker on the prototype identifies it as an electric car. Why is this so important? Well, because the combustion engine and its electric counterpart will hardly differ visually. Like the combustion engine, the iX1 is based on the FAAR front-wheel-drive architecture.
To keep the distance to the X3, the small SUV will increase the external dimensions - the current model measures 4.45 meters in length. Initial speculation suggests that the iX1 could launch with two batteries, with 38 and 74 kWh respectively, providing ranges of around 125 to 249 miles. The price is still speculative but is likely to be around the Mercedes EQA's price. The latter is available from around £45,645. (as of January 2022).
