VW Group increases electric deliveries by 25 percent
After the first nine months of 2022, the VW Group draws a conclusion and states that the global electric offensive is progressing successfully.
Compared to the previous year, the group can look back on an increase in deliveries of 25 per cent. In this context, the group states that despite ongoing supply bottlenecks, it succeeded in handing over 366,400 fully electric vehicles to customers by the end of September, compared to 293,000 vehicles in the first three quarters of 2021.
In percentage terms, the share of all-electric cars in total deliveries rose to 6.0 per cent, up from 4.2 per cent in the first nine months of last year. China remains the strongest growth driver - 112,700 e-cars were delivered there, more than twice as many as a years earlier. Among the regions, Europe remains the clear leader with 211,900 vehicles delivered in the first nine months of the year (Group share 58 per cent). With 112,700 deliveries (Group share 31 per cent), China was the second largest e-car market for the Group. With 28,900 vehicles, the USA accounted for 8 per cent of the Group's worldwide BEV deliveries.
A detailed analysis shows that the Volkswagen brand had delivered 207,200 BEV models to customers by the end of September (Group share 57 per cent). Audi followed with 77,000 vehicles (Group share 21 per cent), ŠKODA with 36,900 vehicles (Group share 10 per cent), Porsche with 25,100 vehicles (Group share 7 per cent) and SEAT/CUPRA with 17,600 vehicles (Group share 5 per cent).

- Volkswagen ID.3 - 45,500 vehicles
- ŠKODA Enyaq iV (incl. Coupé) 36,900 vehicles
- Audi e-Tron (incl. Sportback) 36,400 vehicles
- Audi Q4 e-Tron (incl. Sportback) - 29,700 vehicles
- Volkswagen ID.6 - 27,500 vehicles
- Porsche Taycan (incl. Cross Turismo) - 25,100 vehicles
- CUPRA Born 17,500 vehicles
