The 2022 Vauxhall Corsa-e and Mokka-e Take 12 Miles More
Did the Vauxhall Corsa-e and Mokka-e get a bigger battery?
The answer is No! Then maybe they got more efficient electric motors? Also no! Vauxhall has squeezed the Corsa-e and Mokka-e to the limit with just a few modest interventions. And that results in up to 13 miles of extra range.
Under the skin, the Vauxhall Corsa-e and Mokka-e are largely the same. They have a 136 bhp and 260 Nm strong electric motor and take their power from a 50 kWh battery. Previously, the Corsa-e achieved on paper a range of up to 290 miles. Bigger brother Mokka-e fell flat 12 miles earlier.

But that has now improved. According to Vauxhall, after a few upgrades, the Corsa-e and Mokka-e guarantee 223 and 210 miles respectively. Mind you, that is a WLTP statement. In our test, the actual range of the current Corsa-e came out more than 24 miles lower than what the factory says.
Nevertheless, Vauxhall has made some nice gains, especially by fitting tires with even lower rolling resistance and optimizing the efficiency of the heating and air conditioning. Vauxhall also says it has adjusted the gear system.
