Vauxhall Confirms The Electric Manta (2025): Price and Details

What a comeback! The electric Manta is officially confirmed - we don't expect the production of Vauxhall Manta-e before 2025.

One of the four new electric car platforms announced by Stellantis in July 2021 is likely to serve as the basis: STLA Small (up to 500 kilometers range), STLA Medium (up to 700 kilometers), STLA Large (up to 800 kilometers), and STLA Frame (up to 800 kilometers). They are scheduled for use from 2023 and, in addition to three drive units, offer standardized battery packages for flexible combinations. This means that front-, rear- and all-wheel-drive versions are possible.

It is not yet clear how powerful the electric Manta will be - but it will most likely be more powerful than the current 136-bhp electric motor from the Corsa-e, Mokka-e, and Zafira-e.

To help fans shorten the wait for the next Vauxhall Manta (2025), the Rüsselsheim have unveiled their latest project: the Vauxhall Manta GSe ElektroMOD (2021). The electric motor with 147 hp (108 kW) and 255 Nm of torque draws its juice from a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 31 kWh, which has found its home between the rear seat bench and the trunk.  It allows a range of around 124 miles.
