The new generation of the Vauxhall Insignia, also known as the Insignia C, will debut in 2024. New additions include the Plug-In Hybrid which will be available in 225 bhp Hybrid and 360 bhp Hybrid4 versions, both with a maximum range of 30 miles in electric drive mode.
THE INSIGNIA-E
Thanks to the new STLA Large modular platform, the next Vauxhall Insignia will also be offered with an all-electric version. Its range is expected to include 143 bhp and 340 bhp versions. In addition, it will be equipped with the 60 kWh battery pack for 248 miles of maximum range or 100 kWh for 496 miles of maximum range. However, the 130 bhp 1.2 Turbo and 180 bhp 1.6 Turbo gasoline engines will be confirmed, plus the 130 bhp 1.5 Turbo D diesel unit, all combined with 48V Mild Hybrid technology.
SEDAN, STATION WAGON, OR CROSSOVER?
According to Auto Bild, the third-generation Vauxhall Insignia will continue to be offered in Grand Sport sedan and Sports Tourer station wagon variants. However, according to Auto Express, the new flagship of the House of Lightning could be produced in the new crossover body, in line with the style of the Citroen C5X.
