2022 Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer Price List and Review 2021-12-01

2022 Astra Sports Tourer will be available to order from early next year.

We wrote it last week: C-segment hatchbacks - like the Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and Volkswagen Golf - are losing popularity. The car buyers often opt for a more compact model or prefers to step into an SUV. So,  the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer could also be on the wish list. Although it doesn't offer a higher seating position, it does offer an abundance of interior space.

The Astra Sports Tourer has a 5.7 centimeter longer wheelbase than the hatchback, but is 6 centimeters shorter than the previous Sports Tourer. New model offers more cargo space: 608 - 1634 liters. That was 540 - 1630 liters. If you order the Sports Tourer as a plug-in hybrid, the battery takes up space under the floor of the trunk, leaving you with "only" 548 - 1574 liters for luggage.

Vauxhall supplies the Sports Tourer with the same engines as the hatchback. That means you can choose from a 1.2-liter three-cylinder with 110 or 130 bhp, a 130 bhp diesel and two versions of the 1.6 Turbo Hybrid (180 bhp and 225 bhp). The plug-in hybrids have a 12.4 kWh battery, which would be good for an electric range of up to 37 miles. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard.
