Electric Cupra Tavascan Coming in 2024-Price and Details

The Cupra Tavascan is the second all-electric model after the Cupra Born 2024. We take a look at the interior of the concept car and gather all the information - including the price.

At the celebration of the third birthday of the Cupra,  Cupra President and Seat CEO Wayne Griffiths had announced that the Tavascan, which was presented as a study in 2019, is to go into production. At the annual press conference in March 2021, Griffiths also specified the timetable: "Based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, it will be designed and developed in Barcelona, and will be launched in Europe and overseas in 2024."

In any case, under the hood, throbs an electric heart with 306 hp of system output. Powered by two motors - one each on the front and rear axles. The Cupra Tavascan (2024) is expected to reach 100 km/h in less than 6.5 seconds and still stand for a range of 450 kilometers (WLTP). In series production, various rear- and all-wheel-drive versions are conceivable from 2024.

The lithium-ion battery with 77 kWh charging capacity of the Cupra Tavascan  (2024) comes from the Wolfsburg parent company's modular e-drive system. And so no surprise that the Tavascan resembles the ID.5 in both its proportions and size. The only difference is that the VW has a much more conventional design. The front end is adorned with a low-set, illuminated Cupra logo and various air vents that have an aerodynamic function on the one hand and a battery-cooling function on the other. The 22-inch light-alloy wheels in turbine design are also designed to generate little drag. At the rear of the Cupra Tavascan (2024), a diffuser directs the air in a streamlined manner and, together with the Cupra logo, which is also illuminated, ensures a high recognition value.

It is too early to estimate the price of the Cupra Tavascan (2024).
