2022 Cupra Born Price and Features Announced
Cupra has released the details of its new model.
Cupra is planning 4 different versions for the Born model family. The base model has a 58 kWh battery and an electric motor producing 201 hp. This setup offers a range of 450 km and completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in 7.3 seconds.
It is available in the UK with prices starting from £33,735. Standard features are 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, 12-inch central infotainment display, reversing camera and lane-keeping assist, and a fatigue detection system.
The V2 equipment package includes 19-inch alloys, an augmented reality head-up display, and heated front seats. The V3 package is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and 12-way electrically adjustable heated and massaged front seats.
The new Cupra Born was developed on the MEB platform. This platform was also used in Volkswagen ID models, Skoda Enyaq iV, and Audi Q4 e-Tron models.
The new Cupra Born will also be available for sale this year with a 45 kWh battery option. This electric motor produces 148 hp and 310 Nm of torque. It completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in 8.9 seconds and offers a maximum range of 340 km.
The most powerful Cupra Born uses a 58 kWh battery. The 228 hp engine accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. This engine offers to travel up to 418 km.
Cupra Born owners will be able to charge 80% capacity in 35 minutes from fast charging points. It takes more than 9 hours from a home socket.
Cab features include a 12-inch infotainment screen, Apple Carplay, Android Auto, 5.3-inch digital driver display.
The luggage volume of the new model is 385 liters.
