2022 VW UP! Beats 5 Door price list starts from £14,625.
The VW up!, which was produced exclusively at Volkswagen Slovakia in Bratislava for the European market, started with a three-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of one liter and a choice of 60 bhp or 75 bhp. At the time, the gasoline engine was repeatedly criticized for its high fuel consumption. The small engine consumed just under seven liters of premium fuel in city traffic, while the larger version was measured at up to nine liters per 100 kilometers in everyday driving.

The 60 hp engine was therefore the favorite of most testers, especially since the 15 hp increase in performance is hardly noticeable in real city traffic. A diesel engine was not included in the VW up! for cost reasons, and the market for diesel engines in the small car segment is very limited anyway. At the end of 2012, Volkswagen expanded the engine selection for the up! to include a 68-bhp EcoFuel powerplant.
