The first photos show the prototype of Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 (2022).

Compared to its predecessor, the design changes decisively in several places: the front headlights with new LED daytime running light signature are significantly slimmer and reflect the latest Mercedes design language. The taillights also appear slimmer. The name structure will change, which is why the compact SUV could be called the GLC 45 instead of the 43 in the future, like the A-Class.

The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 (2022) shares the interior in many places with the recently launched C-Class. New to the lineup is the infotainment system internally referred to as "NTG 7." The abbreviation stands for the "New Telematics Generation." The most visible component is a 9.5 or 11.9-inch display on the center console.

Let's move on to the powertrain: Instead of the 3.0-liter V6 biturbo, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder will be used in the future.  The current GLC 43 has 390 bhp and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. The top speed is 155 mph.

It is still too early for prices - after all, we don't expect the market launch before 2022 - but the GLC 43's price list starts at £56,605.
