New Cockpit Concept For The Lexus NX
Lexus has fine-tuned the design of its vehicle cockpits. The result is expressed in the new Lexus NX: More than ever before, the driver takes center stage.
"We redefined the cockpit as the point of connection between the driver and the vehicle," explains Lexus chief Takeaki Kato. "We wanted to create a cockpit that provides a deeper and more intuitive connection and improves control of the vehicle."
All sources of information, including the multi-information display, instrument cluster, and optional head-up display, offer high-resolution graphics.
The number of physical controls has been reduced and grouped according to their function - all driving-relevant controls are now in close proximity to the driver.
While driving, it is no longer necessary to look at the steering wheel: By touching a corresponding button, all functions are shown in the head-up or multi-information display.
The "Tazuna cockpit" can be adapted to the different sizes and statures of drivers.
