Lexus Reveals More Images of the Electric LFA
Already hinted as the successor of the iconic LFA, Lexus has just released some more images of its future battery-electric sports car. Whose arrival to the market should take place, at the latest, in 2030.
First unveiled in December 2021, during the presentation of the Toyota Motor Corporation group's new electric offensive in which 15 new and potential Toyota and Lexus models were unveiled, the future battery-electric sports car from the group's luxury brand is, however, only the first model in a complete range of proposals of this type that Lexus intends to launch by 2030.
Under a new strategic vision dubbed 'Lexus Electrified', this new sports car will seek to harness the full potential of electrification to enhance driving enjoyment. At the same time, it materializes the 'Lexus Driving Signature', which the manufacturer describes as "a unique driving experience, coupled with linear vehicle responses that are constantly true to the driver's intentions, with the seamless connection of steering, deceleration, and acceleration at all times".
In terms of performance, Lexus assures that this new sports car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than two seconds and, at the same time, the brand expects the electric range to exceed 700 kilometers. In this case, thanks to the possible use of solid-state batteries, a technology that Toyota has been working on for some time.
Finally, it should be remembered that Toyota's luxury brand has set itself the goal of becoming a 100% electric manufacturer by 2035, and by 2030, it hopes to have a zero-emission proposal in all segments.
In the meantime, and still, during this year of 2022, Lexus should make known, also and officially, its first 100% electric crossover created from scratch, to which it gave the name RZ.
