2023 Lexus  RZ Looks Ready

The new SUV will be based on the e-TNGA platform developed by Toyota.

There is only one electric vehicle in the current Lexus model line - the UX 300e crossover. However, in the future, Lexus will face a more ambitious "greening". For this, first step is new RZ.

The new crossover  will receive some design elements and a number of modern technologies from  LF-Z Electrified concep which was presented in March. Production version is expected to have a similar steering wheel. Let us remind you that a similar scheme has already been implemented on Toyota bZ4X. 

Lexus RZ will share e-TNGA platform with Toyota crossover. There are no official details about the battery yet. According to Automotive News Europe , the new SUV will have a Direct4 all-wheel drive system. That is, the model is likely to be equipped with a twin-engine unit with an electric motor on each axle. The technology will allow you to instantly switch between front, rear and all-wheel drive.

There is no information about the battery of the new Lexus yet, but we expect to see   Toyota bZ4X's battery . Toyota's model has  a lithium-ion  battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh. The range of the all-wheel drive version of the bZ4X is 215 miles.

The Lexus RZ will hit the markets at the end of next year. .
