XC40 Recharge 2022-Price, Features, Details
The Volvo XC40 Recharge facelift makes the electric models "Pure Electric" as well as the plug-in hybrids fit for the future from spring 2022.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge Facelift (2022), which is available at a price starting at 46,900 euros (as of February 2022), gets new headlights.
The most affordable XC40 Recharge is the plug-in hybrid T4, which combines a 129 hp (95 kW) 1.5-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine with a 60 kW (82 hp) electric motor. In the XC40 T5, the same electric motor is combined with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, which deliveries 180 hp (132 kW). The electric range is 45 kilometers according to WLTP. The "Pure Electric" models of the Volvo XC 40 Recharge Facelift (2022) have a much longer range.
Fully electric, the Volvo XC40 Recharge Facelift (2022) will continue to be offered as a Single or Duo Motor. The single motor XC40 has 170 kW (231 hp) and 330 Newton meters of torque. The 69 kWh battery enables ranges of up to 423 kilometers (WLTP). Despite the larger battery (78 kWh), the XC40 Dual Motor doesn't get quite as far with 418 kilometers according to WLTP. The duo motor sprints to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, while the single motor needs 7.4 seconds.
While the electric XC40s will be equipped with the new and highly connected Google infotainment, the PHEV models will still have to make do with the familiar Sensus system. Prices for the all-electric Volvo XC40 Recharge Facelift (2022) start at 48,650 euros, with the Dual Motor costing 7500 euros more (as of February 2022).
