Renault Will Only Sell Electric Vehicles After 2030

The official statement was announced by the CEO of the company.

Europe will ban internal combustion engines by 2035. Therefore, automobile manufacturers have started to use electric powertrains in their new models. French brand Renault also announced the date when it will turn into an all-electric brand.

Luca de Meo (CEO of Renault) stated that Renault will cease sales of internal combustion engines by 2030.

"Renault will be fully electric in Europe by 2030."

This decision only affects the European market. Therefore, sales of internal combustion engines will continue in major markets such as Russia.

Until 2025, we will meet 4 new electric models of Renault. One of these models is called Renault 5 EV. Another electric model will be in the crossover segment. The third model will be developed specifically for the light commercial vehicle class.

Renault's most important electric vehicle will be the Megane Electric.
