Maserati Has Announced Its Entry For 2023 Formula E
Maserati became the first Italian manufacturer ever to announce its entry for 2023.
When the third generation of Formula E racing cars starts in 2023, Maserati also wants to be part of the action. The Italian brand wants to continue its shift towards electrification with a factory commitment in the electric racing series and at the same time benefit from the technologies that will be used there. Formula E is thus bringing the next manufacturer on board after Mercedes pulls out at the end of 2022. Alongside DS, Maserati is already the second brand from the Stellantis Group in Formula E. It is quite possible that the successful Frenchmen will provide some development assistance. It is still completely unclear which drivers will be competing for the 2023.
The championship will make its debut on June 4 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Otherwise, the calendar features well-known as well as new race tracks for the electric racing series. Once again, Diriyah in Saudi Arabia serves as the host for the inaugural races. Pascal Wehrlein and Co. have already raced in Mexico City, too, even though Puebla was used instead in 2021. After that, it's off to China. Where exactly, however, is still unclear. Rome, Monaco, and Berlin have long been among the cities on the calendar, also in 2022. After that, the team will travel to Vancouver, Canada. At the end of the season, Formula E will hold double races in New York (USA), London (UK), and Seoul (South Korea).
