Crossover Renault Austral will replace Kadjar, Price and Details

It is expected that the new French brand SUV will be offered with gasoline engines and hybrids.The new Austral will be three-row SUV and a “coupe”.

The company finally announced the new SUV (Austral):  it was announced that in Europe it would replace Kadjar. 

The name Austral is derived from the Latin australis (southern): marketers envisioned this name to conjure up the "emotions and heat of the southern hemisphere." Renault also noted that it would not be difficult for a European or a resident of another region to pronounce it.

In the teaser,  we see the back end of the crossover with the new Renault emblem and headlights . Thanks to photos, we also know that the SUV has received a radiator grille with vertical dies and LED headlights.  Inside there will be a virtual "tidy" and a multimedia system with a large touchscreen.

New Austral is based on the modified CMF-C / D platform. At the same time,  this crossover is also larger than the outgoing Kadjar and the current Qashqai.

Renault Austral will enter the European market in the spring of 2022.
