Crash Test Winners: These Are The Safest Cars Of The Year (2022)
Euro NCAP's crash experts have chosen the safest cars of the year.
Founded by the British Ministry of Transport, Euro NCAP is now a Europe-wide association of car clubs, insurance companies, and government institutions: Euro NCAP is regarded as a particularly renowned organization when it comes to assessing the safety of cars. Last year, it tested 33 new cars and awarded 22 of them the coveted five-star rating.
Among these, Euro NCAP has now chosen the safety winners in various classes - which for the first time included one for electric cars.
The Mercedes EQS won in two classes at once: Upper class and electric car, the Polestar 2 from the Chinese Geely Group (to which Volvo also belongs) follows in each case.
