Volkswagen Golf TDI Highway Performance-Video

After one of its ancestors was put to the test on the autobahn when it already had a respectable mileage of 1.1 million kilometers, the current generation Volkswagen Golf TDI also paid a visit to the most desired sections of German highways: those that do not have speed limits.

The Golf TDI used by the YouTube channel Automobile DY was presented with the intermediate version of the 2.0 TDI, that is, in the variant with 150 hp and 360 Nm of torque.

If you remember correctly, this is positioned above the version with 115 hp and 300 Nm and the “all-powerful” variant used by the Golf GTD that offers 200 hp and 400 Nm.

As for the transmission, this setup is combined with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Throughout the video, not only can we see the Golf TDI «galloping» well beyond the speed limits legally allowed in its country, but we also have the opportunity to find out how long it takes to go from 0 to 100 km/h and also how long it takes on a less usual acceleration between 100 km/h and 200 km/h.
