Triton to build e-vehicles in India
Headquartered in New Jersey, the company is now expanding into India. A factory is being built in the state of Gujarat, on a 645-hectare site.
In addition to the production lines, a robot paint shop, chassis pre-assembly and a laboratory for quality assurance and material testing are planned. The total investment amounts to about 1.3 billion euros. 145 million euros are planned for the first construction phase. The plant will, directly and indirectly, create about 10,000 jobs in the region. The Gujarat state government will therefore support the investment with expedited approval and registration procedures, according to information from Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel's office.

The flagship Model H SUV was only unveiled in 2020 and has a range of up to 1,100 kilometres thanks to a 200-kilowatt-hour battery, according to information on the company's website. It can already be ordered on the website. The electric sedan Model N4 Sedan can also be pre-ordered. However, the sparse information on the website does not indicate when delivery can be expected.
