Toyota Revealed Many Upcoming Models

According to the Japanese manufacturer's plan, Toyota and Lexus brands will produce thirty all-electric models by 2030.

The head of Toyota Motor Corporation Akio Toyoda  held a briefing on the company's plans for the further development of electric vehicles and a strategy for achieving carbon neutrality in the future. During the meeting, he also showed many concepts of Toyota and Lexus brands. These concepts will go to production in the next years. Technical details have not yet been disclosed.

The presentation began with the Toyota BZ range. Let us remind you that the letters stand for "beyond Zero".  The firstborn of the line-up - the bZ4X SUV - has already been presented. This electric crossover is built on the e-TNGA modular platform, which was developed with Subaru. The front-wheel-drive version is equipped with a single 204-horsepower electric motor, the all-wheel-drive version is equipped with a twin-engine system, the total output of which is 218 bhp. There is only one battery offered, its capacity is 71.4 kWh. The version with one engine can travel up to 500 km on a single charge, the all-wheel-drive SUV up to 460 km.

In the future, the Toyota BZ lineup will be replenished with several more models: today the Japanese company showed four unnamed concepts, which are based on the e-TNGA platform: the list includes a full-size SUV, a compact crossover with a coupe-like body, and an urban SUV reminiscent of the Aygo X.

It is known that the Lexus RZ will share the e-TNGA platform with the Toyota bZ4X. New details about the new model have not yet appeared. It is expected that the range will be more than 700 km. Probably, it will need less than two seconds to accelerate from zero to  100 km/h.
