Time to say goodbye to Vans

The car market is constantly changing - trends and cycles bring new models and sacrifice others for them. The most prominent discontinued model is the van. A good example of this is the Dacia Lodgy and the Dacia MCV, which were replaced by the crossover Dacia Jogger in 2022. The Smart Forfour, which was last available exclusively as an electric car, is the next victim of the SUV wave, being replaced by an electric crossover. Increasing electrification is also taking its toll: Ford will discontinue the Mondeo on 31 March 2022 to make room for the production of batteries and hybrid engines at its plant in Valencia (Spain).
