The New Edition of the Tiguan Will Arrive in 2023- Price List 2022-12-05
Whether in Europe, China or the USA, the current Tiguan is booming. Wolfsburg is currently finalizing the details of its successor, which will be ready for the market in 2023.
The future Tiguan shows more face and flexes its muscles. The design will be more muscular. The VW badge moves upwards to almost the height of a wide LED daytime running light band connecting the headlights. The rear end is also completely redesigned. An LED light band connects the rear lights just below the windshield. Three slightly offset LED lenses per taillight give the VW Tiguan III (2023) a distinctive night design. The dimensions are likely to grow minimally at best - the trunk volume (currently 615 to 1665 liters) will also be correspondingly generous.
As usual, the VW Tiguan III (2023) is also based on the technology of the MQB. For purely electric vehicles, the modular e-drive kit (MEB) of the VW Group is available. This is also the reason why Tiguan No. 3 will remain an internal combustion engine. Part of this optimization is the increasing hybridization. VW trusts heavily on mild hybrids here, i.e. 48-volt technology. Further plug-in hybrids would be technically possible, but the additional price would deter many. So in the future, there will be a mix of the familiar 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine (150 bhp) and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel and gasoline engines. And the Tiguan eHybrid also remains in the range: This is based on the combination of a small electric motor with the familiar 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline engine, which replaces the 1.4-liter gasoline engine. The electric range of the hybridized VW Tiguan III (2023) is likely to just allow along the 62 miles range. More is not practical for weight reasons.
In addition, the VW Tiguan III (2023) will be trimmed more toward digitalization and online connectivity, including a large cockpit display.
