Opel delivers 30 Vivaro-e Cargo to Vinci Energies
The zero-emission Opel Vivaro-e vans are the first electric light commercial vehicles in the Vinci Energies fleet.
From now on, Vinci Energies Building Solutions' customer service staff will use them on assembly and service tours in Germany. The battery-electric Opel commercial vehicle bestseller and "International-Van of the Year 2021" will thus become an ideal representative of the experts for energy, transport and communication infrastructures as well as buildings and industrial facilities.
"We are delighted to be able to contribute to making the Vinci Energies Group fleet sustainably mobile with the Opel Vivaro-e. Our battery-electric Vivaro-e combines its van qualities with the zero-emission operation. It's a perfect fit for a company like Vinci Energies, which is advancing resource-saving solutions." - Andreas Marx, Opel Germany CEO
"Shaping our group of companies to be climate neutral is a key value in Vinci Energies' corporate policy," says Stefan Falk, Managing Director Vinci Energies Germany Building Solutions. For this reason, he says, the company decided to convert its fleet to climate-neutral vehicles. "We have found the right partner for this in Stellantis and Opel and are looking forward to a good cooperation," says Falk.
Vinci Energies Building Solutions' customer service staff can also rely on the familiar virtues of the light commercial vehicle in the battery-electric version of the Opel Vivaro. The delivered Vivaro-e Cargo L with a length of 5.30 metres can load up to almost 930 kilograms of payload and 2.75 metres of work material. Around half of the 30 Vivaro-e Cargo vans will also be fitted with Sortimo workshop equipment.
The emission-free vans are not only suitable for the so-called "last mile" in city centres, but also extended overland trips to customers. The 75 kWh battery installed in the underbody provides enough energy for a range of up to 329 kilometres (according to WLTP measurements). In addition, the electric motor offers 100 kW / 136 hp of power and 260 Newton metres of torque immediately available.
In addition to standard assistance systems such as cruise control and speed limiter as well as drowsiness detection, all Vinci-Vivaro-e is also equipped with blind-spot warning, front and rear parking pilot and 180-degree reversing camera for added safety. Comfort on the daily commute is enhanced by heated seats for the driver and front passenger, as well as the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible multimedia radio infotainment system.
The Vivaro-e Cargo is Opel's first commercial vehicle in the Vinci fleet. The group has already been running various passenger car models with the lightning for years, including several hundred Opel Insignia Sports Tourer, Opel Grandland and Opel Astra Sports Tourer, the latest generation of which is already available to order and will be rolling into dealers in a few months as a pure e-model as well as a plug-in hybrid, among others.
