Mazda Stops The Deliveries for MX-30

Bad news for all those who have ordered a Mazda MX-30.

According to the manufacturer, the reason for the stop is problems with the EU-type approval. The technical specifications are not listed correctly in the approval, which is why they have to be corrected. The main issue is the information on the fast charging of the battery after a software update in the spring of 2022, which increased the charging capacity through the possibility of three-phase charging, which was not corrected in the documents.

As soon as the type approval has been corrected, delivery and registration could be resumed. According to the manufacturer, however, fewer than 1,000 vehicles would be affected by this measure.

The all-electric Mazda MX-30 has a 35.5-kilowatt-hour battery with a WLTP range of 200 kilometres. The engine produces 107 kilowatts (145 hp). The top speed of 140 km/h makes it the perfect car for city.  However, the power consumption of 19 kWh/100 kilometres according to WLTP is quite high for this size of the car.
