2022  VW UP! Black Edition price list starts from  £14,625.

The VW up! is part of Volkswagen's "New Small Family" modular system. The Škoda Citigo and Seat Mii models came onto the market almost at the same time as the Up!  The toughest competitors are the Fiat 500 and Smart Fortwo.

The biggest technological leap came in 2013 with the introduction of the all-electric VW e-up! The small electric vehicle has a range of between 80 and 160 kilometers, so it is highly dependent on driving style and load. Maximum power is 82 bhp and is provided by a 240-kilogram lithium-ion battery pack installed on the ground with a capacity of 19 kWh. Charging via the 230-volt household mains took around nine hours in the test. A top speed of 130 km/h, and the e-up! accelerates from zero to 50 in 3.5 seconds
