Inside, the large display measures 10.25 inches, that of the infotainment system 8.25. Dual-clutch gearbox (DSG) is also new. The equipment lines Trend, Comfort and Highline have become obsolete. The future nomenclature is Golf, Life, Style and R-Line.
Even the basic equipment includes LED headlights and taillights, mobile online services, automatic climate control, lane departure and cornering assistants, a forward-looking pedestrian protection system and Car2X. This function supports local communication between vehicles and the traffic infrastructure.
