2022 Suzuki Vitara SZ-T HYBRID and SZ5 Price List and Details

With the arrival of the new engine, the Vitara range now comprises two engines: the 1.4 l turbo mild-hybrid and the new 1.5 l Strong Hybrid, which will also be available on the new Suzuki S. -Cross.

As for the equipment levels, we have two: GLE and GLX. The Vitara is also available with front or all-wheel drive in both powertrains and trim levels.

Suzuki's new conventional hybrid system (no need to plug in to charge the battery) is called Strong Hybrid and combines a new internal combustion engine with an electric motor-generator (MGU).

The internal combustion engine is the K15C, a four-cylinder gasoline engine with 1.5 l which produces 102 bhp and 138 Nm of torque. The electric motor presents itself with 33.4 hp (24.6 kW) and 60 Nm. Combining the two engines, we have a combined maximum power of 115 bhp.

In this hybrid version, the Suzuki Vitara sees the luggage compartment capacity decrease from 362 liters to a more modest 289 liters.

The new Suzuki Vitara Strong Hybrid announces a  combined consumption (WLTP) of 5.3 l/100 km for the front-wheel-drive version and 5.8 l/100 km for the all-wheel drive.
