2022 Subaru Forester: Specifications, price, release date 2021-01-11
Subaru presents the Forester Model Year 2022 dedicated to the European market.
This model celebrates 25 years of career, with 4.5 million units sold of which about 357,000 in the Old Continent.
The 2022 version offers even more comprehensive equipment, focusing in particular on safety. The updated SUV adopts the latest version of the EyeSight Adas package, which also includes Automatic Emergency Steering, adaptive cruise control with Lane Centering, and Lane Departure Prevention. In addition, among other assistance systems, the Pre-Collision Braking System has been upgraded to handle emergency situations at intersections, while the Driver Monitoring System has been updated to recognize the driver's gesture commands so that the driver can now change the temperature of the air conditioning without touching the physical controls.
The S-AWD all-wheel-drive system with Active Torque Vectoring is also confirmed, together with the two-liter, 150 hp e-Boxer hybrid powertrain with Lineartronic automatic transmission: the car claims a towing capacity of 1,870 kg. The 2022 version adds automatic activation of the e-Active Shift Control when the Sport driving mode is activated through the SI-Drive.
Subaru also introduces a slight restyling of the car for 2022, with redesigned bumpers and headlight clusters for even more off-road-inspired styling. There are also plans for all-new body colors called Cascade Green Silica, Brilliant Bronze Metallic, and Autumn Green Metallic. The cabin features revised upholstery and infotainment (with 8" display) compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standards.
