The Sportage has also borrowed a few things from its brothers for the interior. The sports steering wheel comes with a small baffle and three spokes. A 12.3-inch cockpit display and another 12.3-inch touchscreen on the dashboard support inform, entertain and navigate passengers. In addition to a new infotainment system, the Sportage Gen. 5 also gets other connectivity features. As for the assistance systems, they are joined by a lane-keeping service, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot warning.
For the chassis, Kia relies on electronically controlled dampers. A terrain mode conditions the Sportage's electronically controlled all-wheel drive in more difficult conditions such as snow, mud and sand.
