Renault Group Starts Using Dassault Systèmes' Technology for Innovation

Dassault Systèmes and Renault Group announced that they have stepped into a partnership that will further strengthen their 20-year cooperation.

With the new partnership, Dassault Systèmes will support Renault Group's strategic plan for value creation, called "Renaulution", with the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Thus, for the first time, a large industrial firm of Renault scale will develop programs for new vehicles and mobility services using Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud. In addition, all data throughout the product lifecycle will be shared with employees in real time and virtual twins* of various product configurations will be managed.

Increasing regulatory constraints in the transport and mobility industry, complexity of products, electrification, connectivity, sustainability policies and the emergence of many new mobility services require a more agile and collaborative ecosystem, i.e. more coordinated interoperability of different functions and expertise. . As a solution to this, Renault Group deployed Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud; It will enable more than 20,000 employees working in tool development departments such as 'Design', 'Product Engineering', 'Industrial Process Engineering', 'Parts and Materials Purchasing', 'Costing' and 'Quality' to use the platform. Renault employees with different tasks in different parts of the world will thus have access to systems and software, 3D models and simulations updated in real time. Based on virtual twin technology, this massive scale collaboration will increase data sharing and agility within the company while reducing costs and reducing tool development time by nearly a year. In addition, Renault Group will have the opportunity to benefit from the continuous technological innovations and functional enhancements of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

Under its agreement with Dassault Systèmes, Renault Group will deploy four industry solutions based on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform on the cloud: "Targeted Vehicle Launch", "Smart, Secure and Connected", "Global Modular Architecture" and "Efficient Multi-Energy Platform".
