Opel Astra Plug-in (station wagon), Prices start From 29,722 euros

The all-new Opel Astra Sports Tourer is also available for order.

The new compact class estate is available as a plug-in hybrid as well as with conventional drive systems. The electrified Astra Sports Tourer starts at 36,900 Euros, which means a price tag of 29,722.50 Euros after deducting the environmental bonus of 7177.50 Euros.

The plug-in estate has a system output of 133 kW / 180 hp and a maximum torque of 360 Newton metres. Fuel consumption according to WLTP is 1.2 to 1.1 litres, and the purely electric range is 60 kilometres.

The extensive standard equipment in every variant includes numerous assistance systems such as front collision warning with automatic hazard braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning and traffic sign assist, drowsiness detection and cruise control with intelligent speed limiter. A head-up display can be ordered as an option, so that the driver's gaze can always remain focused on the road. In addition, there is plenty of space for luggage and work materials as standard in the load compartment, which can hold up to 1553 litres (with the seats folded down).

The Astra Sports Tourer is the first Opel station wagon to feature the new Opel Vizor brand face. Under the "visor", new technologies such as the latest version of the adaptive, glare-free Intelli-Lux LED Pixel light are used. The light system with a total of 168 LED elements comes directly from the Opel flagships Insignia and Grandland. In addition, the new Astra is also available with a two-tone paint finish on request.

Beneath the silhouette, which stretches from the front to the characteristic rear with a vertical third brake light, there is plenty of space for everyday driving. With its compact exterior dimensions of 4.64 metres in length, 1.86 metres in width and 1.48 metres in height, and a load sill height of around 60 centimetres, the new Astra Sports Tourer aims to demonstrate that it is an all-rounder that combines sporty styling with efficient packaging. Despite a wheelbase that has grown by seven centimetres to 2.73 metres compared to the previous version, the new Astra Estate is six centimetres shorter overall than the predecessor model thanks to a particularly short front overhang.

The load volume of the plug-in hybrid is up to 1553 litres with the seats folded down. Added to this are some practical details such as the "Intelli-Space" load floor, which can be adjusted to two heights and locked at a 45-degree angle. Further advantages: Regardless of the set height of the load floor, the retractable load compartment cover can be stowed to save space. In addition, "Intelli-Space" also allows direct access to the tire repair kit and the first aid kit. These are stored in a practical and space-saving way in the rear so that they can be accessed both from the rear seat and via the luggage compartment. This is to provide convenient space not only for suitcases and work utensils but also for items such as a transport box for a medium-sized dog.

Leap forward in the interior: the fully digital Pure Panel cockpit
Opel wants to set an exclamation mark with the interior design of the new Astra Sports Tourer. The fully digital Pure Panel is a next-generation human-machine interface (HMI) that offers customers an intuitive operating experience. Passengers operate an extra-wide touchscreen like their familiar smartphone. At the same time, frequently used settings such as air conditioning can still be selected directly with just a few switches. Cable clutter is a thing of the past in the new Astra Sports Tourer: The new generation of infotainment systems can connect compatible smartphones "wirelessly" with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard in all model variants.
