No More New Jaguar Models Until 2025

The Jaguar brand has seen negative dynamics in the European market over the past two years. Moreover, in January-September Jaguar sold 30,989 vehicles, which is 11.1% less than in the first three quarters of 2020.

It is possible that in the near future, the British brand could have a "calm"period , according to the French edition of Le Monde . Jaguar is not expected to introduce any new products until 2025. At the same time, it is expected that  the brand will produce only electric cars after 2025, and will compete with the luxury Aston Martin and Bentley.

As we noted earlier, the new Jaguar models will be significantly more expensive. That means we will see more luxury, high performance and new techs.

It is assumed that Jaguar will form a new  platform for the  new electric cars .The company intends to buy this platform from a third-party supplier.

At the same time, the existing MLA (Modular Longitudinal Architecture) platform, designed for both electric cars and hybrids, will be completely transferred to the Land Rover brand in the future. As a result of all the changes, Jaguar and Land Rover will not be sibling anymore.

According to the French publication, Jaguar will not only abandon the release of new products in the next few years, but will gradually reduce the volume of production of current products due to a more "modest" choice of engines and equipment. This plan includes cost reductions and a reduction in labor. So, by 2026, Jaguar's production capacity will be 25% less than now.
