Electric car Genesis GV60 comes to Europe in three versions

Hyundai's premium Genesis brand will soon take pre-orders for the new GV60: Genesis' first all-electric car is due to be launched later this year.

The GV60 is based on the specially developed electric platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform), which is also the basis for electric cars such as the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6 that are highly regarded by the trade press and customers. With an all-electric range of up to 517 kilometers, Genesis now also wants to underline its commitment to maximum range and high performance on the road to electrification.

There are three options available for the GV60:

  • GV60 Premium - with a 168 kW electric motor, rear-wheel drive, and a focus on maximum range.
  • GV60 Premium with Sport Package - with all-wheel drive, powered by two electric motors (160 kW rear / 74 kW front).
  • GV60 Premium with Sport Plus Package - a particularly powerful version with two 160 kW motors each and all-wheel drive.

The electric crossover comes with a host of next-generation technologies as standard: In addition to advanced safety systems, features a 12.3-inch infotainment display and a wireless charging cradle for smartphones. As with all Genesis models, customers can also choose from a range of options with extras such as heated seats, a panoramic roof, a Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, and digital rear-view mirrors.

As part of its Future Vision strategy, Genesis is now gradually expanding its model portfolio to include electric cars. From 2025, all new models will have a purely electric drive, and by 2030 Genesis will be a zero-emissions brand. In addition, Genesis is focusing on further innovations to make the company completely carbon neutral by 2035.
