The concept car was designed and created under the direction of Gilles Vidal, Renault Design Director.

Presented in 2021, the "Renaulution" aims to ensure Renault's sustainable profitability while pursuing the goal of reducing the Renault Group's carbon footprint to zero by 2050 in Europe. To achieve this, the company wants to focus on battery-powered mobility and hydrogen vehicles.  In mid-February 2022, Renault will give a first glimpse of the compact-looking hydrogen-powered car in the SUV segment.

With this first photo, Renault is giving a preview of a new concept car that embodies the commitments of Renault's strategy for sustainable development. The focus is on the environment, safety and inclusion. For the Renault Group itself, the hydrogen vehicle is an important step on the way to decarbonization. Furthermore, the concept car will be used to demonstrate progress in the circular economy and the use of recycled and recyclable materials. This will be the case by the official premiere in May 2022 at the latest.

The unique concept car implements the Group's commitments to sustainable development and interprets them in the service of sustainable, safe, and inclusive mobility. Renault already indicates that, in addition to a locally zero-emission powertrain, the new concept car will feature several technological innovations designed to ensure the safety of the driver and passengers. Furthermore, the study also embodies the theme of inclusion in that the accessibility of the vehicle is a central element.

The company says the vehicle, which will be seen in its entirety for the first time in May 2022, could be an important part of the company's recently announced goal of achieving a 100 percent electric vehicle range by 2030.
