BMW X3 (2025): Specifications, price, release date

There are 3 years for 2025 and the next BMW X3, but the first information about the Bavarian mid-size SUV is already starting to emerge. This is what we know about hybrid engine options, the M40i, the interior, and the price.

In the mid-size SUV segment, the BMW X3 is a top seller and is expected to remain so beyond 2025.

The SUV is also available as an all-electric version iX3, which rolls off the production line in China. In 2021, the X3 series, which has been available since the end of 2017, received a model update. We expect the new generation in 2025. The X3 will be based on the Cluster Architecture (CLAR). The brand is working intensively on new e-motors and 800-volt technology.

If the next BMW X3 (2025) is based on the modified CLAR platform after all we can expect combustion engine versions in the form of mildly hybridized four- and six-cylinder models. The upcoming X3 will also benefit from the new generations of plug-in hybrid drives - with significantly higher battery capacities for a purely electric range of up to 100 kilometers.

To estimate the price of the midsize SUV of the future, it helps to look at the current model, which is available from £51,400.
