2022 Taycan Sport Turismo Price and Details
Porsche's all-electric model family, Taycan, is now getting a third body option with the Sport Turismo after the Sport Sedan and Cross Turismo.
This new model combines the daily ease of use of the Taycan Cross Turismo with the dynamic road performance of the Taycan Sport Sedan. GTS, the first member of the Taycan Sport Turismo family, will be launched at the end of February 2022, and new versions will follow in March.
5 different model versions
The first member of the model family, which will include five different versions, is the rear-wheel drive Taycan Sport Turismo. The model, which has an electric motor that produces 240 kW (326 PS), can also be optionally preferred with the Performance Plus Battery, which provides 280 kW (380 PS).
Another model of the family with this alternative is the four-wheel drive Taycan 4S Sport Turismo. This version, which has an electric motor producing 320 kW (435 PS) as standard, can also produce 360 kW (490 PS) with the optional Performance Plus Battery.
Other members of the model family are the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo producing 380 kW (517 PS) and the Taycan Turbo Sport Turismo and Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo producing 460 kW (625 PS). All three models are offered with all-wheel drive.
Goes from zero to 100 in 2.8 seconds
The Taycan Turbo S Sport Turismo accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h. The version with the longest range of the family is the Taycan 4S Sport Turismo; According to WLTP figures, it can travel up to 498 kilometers. The heat management and charging functions of the models have also been improved. For both battery types, a charge rate from 5 percent to 80 percent can be achieved in 22 minutes and 30 seconds. In other words, it is enough to charge the car for only five minutes in order for the car to cover an additional 100 kilometers.
There is a difference of more than 45 millimeters between the rear headroom of the Taycan Sport Turismo and the Taycan Sport Sedan. There is an additional 9 millimeters above the driver's seat. The wide tailgate provides easy access to the luggage compartment. At 801 millimeters long and 543 millimeters high, the trunk opening is much wider compared to the sedan (434 millimeters and 330 millimeters, respectively). Rear trunk volume varies depending on the equipment added to the model. With Sound Package Plus, the luggage volume increases to 446 liters (407 liters in the Sedan). If the BOSE® Surround Sound System, which is standard in Taycan Turbo Sport Turismo, is added, the trunk volume becomes 405 liters. With the rear seat folded down (60:40 folding seat), the volume can be increased to 1,212 liters.
Remote Park Assist and Android Auto integration
Taycan Sport Turismo offers advanced technology in terms of comfort, safety features and infotainment. Thanks to the optional Remote Park Assist feature, the driver can remotely control entering and exiting the parking lot without having to be behind the wheel. It has an automatic control feature for both parallel and vertical parking spaces and garages. The system automatically detects the parking space and measures it with the help of ultrasonic sensors and camera.
After the latest model year update, the Porsche Communication Management (Porsche Communication Management-PCM) system can be used alongside Apple Car Play as well as Android Auto. The system now supports smartphones running the Google operating system Android as well as iPhone. What's more, the Voice Pilot voice assistant now understands normal speaking instructions much better. The navigation system calculates faster, primarily uses an online search to find points of interest (POI), and displays the information it presents more clearly.
