2022 Suzuki Baleno's First Teaser Released

Suzuki has updated the Baleno.

Introduced in 2015 and based on the Heartect platform, the Suzuki Baleno received its first facelift for the 2022 model year.

On the front end, we see a sharper style than its predecessor. There are also new LED headlights similar to those of the Toyota Corolla. In addition, the chrome strip on the grille makes the car look more modern. At the rear end, new taillights and a new bumper design await us.

In the cabin, the most striking feature will be the head-up display. We can also see the speedometer, tachometer and gear in the teaser.

A mild hybrid 1.2-liter petrol unit producing 89 hp will power the new Baleno. Another engine option will be a 1.2-liter petrol producing 82 hp. The CVT transmission will be replaced by an automatic transmission.

On the diesel front, there will be no more 1.0-liter Boosterjet engine and 1.25-liter turbodiesel. This is due to strict emissions regulations.

Suzuki pulled the Baleno model from the UK and European market. However, sales are quite strong in India. It even ranks in the top 5 in India's bestseller list.
