2022 Jeep Renegade e-Hybrid and 2022 Jeep Compass e-Hybrid Announced

The brand, which shared a teaser last week and announced the updates for both Renegade and Compass, finally revealed the duo.

Under the hood of both versions, a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine comes as standard. This engine is combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and supports front-wheel drive. This engine produces 130 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The 48V system is integrated into the system with an electric motor producing 20 horsepower and 55 Nm of torque. The 48V system allows fully electric driving in city driving. It will be possible to drive without the internal combustion engine operating during low-speed maneuvers and the vehicle's initial acceleration. Jeep states that recycled materials are used in the cockpit of the updated models and they are environmentally friendly.

Jeep has announced that it has added two new color options and updated its hybrid system. The new electric motors will bring around 20 hp to the renewed models.Thanks to the new engine system, both Renegade and Compass consume 15-20% less fuel.

The new electric motors are combined with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine. The total power output is 130 horsepower and the maximum torque is 240 Nm.
