2022-2023 Lexus RZ 450e: Price, Specs and Details

Lexus has just shared some more photos of the new Lexus RZ 450e. The Japanese all-electric model will be unveiled this spring.

Toyota and Lexus caused a sensation in December 2021 when they announced the launch of 15 new 100% electric models by 2030. One of the first models of this total electrification maneuver in Europe, North America, and China, is the Lexus RZ 450e.

This profile shows great similarities with the Toyota bZ4x and the Subaru Solterra EV. All these three models share the same e-TNGA platform, created for fully electric vehicles.

However, the shape of the C-pillars is different, with the Lexus sporting a more fluid appearance. The rear lights extend horizontally across the trunk lid and into the fenders.

At the front,  there is now only a lower air intake and a vertical air intake on each side.

On the inside, it should have better materials and multimedia systems than the Toyota and Subaru models.

The same may happen with the engine. Both the Toyota bZ4x and the Subaru Solterra EV use an engine on each axle, producing a combined 215 bhp, but it is expected that the RZ 450e will offer more.

Both Lexus and Toyota aim to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035.
